DIY | Giftcard for a Trip to the THEATER
A few weeks ago it was my flatmates birthday and as she is a huge theater fan, we wanted to give her a trip to the theater with all her flatmates. But how to present this little gift best?
I had the idea to make her a little stage with curtains, so today I’ll show you how EASY it was and how you can do it, too. Concert, opera, theater… It works for every kind of stage actually 🙂
Vor ein paar Wochen hatte eine Mitbewohnerin von mir Geburtstag und weil sie ein großer Theater-Fan ist, wollten wir ihr einen Ausflug zum Theater mit der ganzen WG-Gruppe schenken. Aber wie überreicht man so ein kleines Geschenk am besten?
Ich hatte die Idee ihr eine kleine Bühne mit Vorhängen zu basteln, also zeig ich dir heute mal wie EINFACH das war und wie du das auch für jeden „Bühnenausflug“ machen kannst. Konzert, Oper, Theater… funktioniert für alles 🙂
YOU’LL NEED
- paper for your card
- small pieces of paper for the curtains (I used some coloured notepads)
- scissors
- glue
- needle and thick thread
- Papier für die Karte
- Papier für die Vorhänge (meins sind kleine Notizzetteln)
- Schere
- Leim
- Nadel und dickeren Faden
LET’S GO
First fold some paper to create the base of your gift card. Then start folding two square papers (notepads, if you have some) into a curtain shape.
Zuerst faltest du ein Stück Papier zusammen, um die Basis für die Karte zu schaffen. Dann falte zwei quadratische (Notizzettel, wenn du hast) in eine Vorhangsform. Hexenleiter nennt man die Technik glaube ich 😉
Now take a thread a bit longer than double your card base. With a needle thread it through the top of the freshly fold curtains.
Jetzt nimmst du einen Faden, der mindestens doppelt so lang ist wie die Kartenbasis. Mit einer Nadel fädelst du diesen dann durch die obere Kante der frisch gefalteten Vorhänge.
Make two parallel holes at the top of the card and thread one end of the thread through each hole. The curtains should be in the middle.
Stich jetzt zwei parallele Löcher oben in die Karte und fädle jeweils ein Ende des Fadens durch das Loch. Die Vorhänge sollten in der Mitte sein.
At the back (or inside) of the card make a knot and secure your curtains. If you want you can glue the outer edges of the curtains to the card so that they don’t start to fly if you move the card.
An der Rückseite (oder Innenseite) der Karte verknotest du dann den Faden und befestigst deine Vorhänge. Wenn du möchtest, kannst du auch noch die äußeren Enden des Vorhangs festkleben, damit er nicht rumfliegt, wenn du die Karte bewegst.
Now you can write something above the curtains and behind them to create a little stage surprise for the birthday child 🙂
Jetzt kannst du noch etwas über die Vorhänge schreiben und auch dahinter, damit das Geburtstagskind dann eine kleine Bühnenüberraschung hat, wenn sie geöffnet werden 🙂
